I was informed of Gilt.com through my Merchandising
instructor, probably because when you invite friends you receive $25 worth of GiltGroupe merchandise. Gilt sends me emails at certain times during the day notifying me of the set of sales that have begun. Their sales are on designer brands at discounted prices, but when they're sold out, that's it. Gilt emails pile up in my college email account, subject lines excitedly edifying me of brand names, expensive jewelry and such at their special prices. I rarely check these emails; I simply expunge them from my inbox in attempt to prevent procrastination in my studies. Today, I gave in. And this is how I discovered Sister.
So, may I buy a dress I've fallen in love with for $118? Come on, it was originally $255.
How can I justify such a purchase, especially when I haven't bought one school textbook yet?
